I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Master of Science in Nutrition and a background in Integrative and Functional Medicine. I am passionate about using food, joyful movement, breathwork, social connection, supplements & herbal remedies as a form of medicine. I 100% believe in utilizing approaches that address root causes. My Approach
Holistic: I approach wellness counseling from a holistic and integrative perspective. I have seen the best outcomes when we look at the bigger picture and piece together all the moving parts rather than just address one narrow area like nutrition alone. Many factors influence our well-being, including but not limited to sleep, stress, movement and nutrition.
Realistic: If you have ever been given a goal or plan that didn’t make any sense or fit within your capabilities, then you know exactly what I am talking about. I try to be mindful of and sensitive to people’s budgets, cultural backgrounds, knowledge base, physical capacity and mental health background. I work collaboratively with individuals on making goals and plans that fit within their realm of capability and comfort. I meet my clients where they are at. I will never be a dictator — that serves neither of us. We are a team. If something doesn’t sound realistic, then we’ll work through it and breakdown the barriers together.
Personalized: I will NOT give you a cookie cutter plan or protocol in 1:1 coaching. I will discuss interventions and options with you that make sense, and then allow you to decide what feels right. We may have to try different options and experiment to find what works best for you. Getting to the root cause of your health issues will always be my number one mission, and that root cause will look different from person-to-person as will the intervention for it.
